A headstone can be purchased from a cemetery, funeral home,
third-party retailer, or an online retailer. However, it is recommended that
you buy it from a cemetery. This is because a cemetery is not covered by the
Federal Trade Commission’s Funeral Rule and may not accept a headstone purchased
elsewhere or may charge extra fees for bringing in or installing a headstone
purchased from some other place.
